Tagore Einstein Council

NEWS: The Council is happy to announce its Council meeting and Roundtable in October in Berlin. During the 2011 year of celebrations in memory of Tagore many events took place in Berlin and elsewhere. We would like to recommend the prolonged Tagore exhibition in the ANTI-WAR Museum in Berlin. The exhibition and lecture on the occasion of the 150th anniversary at Humboldt University, were this book was lauched: "Traveller between Worlds" - a collections of viewpoints by esteemed authors, TAGORE meets EINSTEIN by the Einstein Forum Potsdam.. In September a delegation of youth from Santinitekan is visiting Berlin. A series of events takes place and will be documented here shortly.

Albert Einstein and Rabindranath Tagore, both shared the conviction about universality of knowledge its infinite existence. Their undiminished faith in man and ever striving effort to gain knowledge is the legacy they have left for the future generation.

Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore established Visva-Bharati in Santiniketan in the year 1921 to give the world of knowledge a universal abode overcoming the fragmentations and narrow confines of parochialism and ethnic prejudices, breeding regional, racial, religious and other arrogance. In keeping with the traditions created by Visva-Bharati.

Tagore-Einstein Foundation is working for the establishment of an Einstein Bhavan at Visva-Bharati to strive for knowledge by discovering certain new fundamental dimensions to world humanity studies.
